Abstract:Inthisstudy,firstly,theheterogeneouscatalyst( Cu/Al2O3 )waspreparedbyimpregnation-calcinationmethod with Al2O3 as the carrier, and we characterized it. Then,the effects of ozone inflow(4,6,8,and 10mg/min ),catalyst dosage (30,40,50,and 60g/L ),and circulating water flow rate (0, 40,80,and 120mL/min )on effluent chemical oxygen demand(COD)were tested in laboratory scale,using the wastewater of a paper mill in Tianjin as raw material. Finally, Cu/Al2O3 catalyzed ozonation was used as the advanced treatment process to carry out pilot tests.TheresultsshowedtatCucouldbeloaddothesurfaceofthecarierbyimpregnation-calcinationmetodInthelaboratorytests, when the ozone inflow was 8 mg/min,the dosage of Cu/Al was 50g/L ,and the circulating water flow rate was 120mL/min ,the COD GΓ of wastewater decreased from 64.0mg/L to 21.8mg/L ,and the removal rate of COD Gr was 65.9%.In the pilot test,when the CODCr of influent water fluctuated in the range of 50. O~65.O mg/L,the CODcr of effluent water was lower than 30mg/L ,and the COD cr removal ratewasstable at about 63. 1% .The CODof efluent watermetthedischarge standardofGB3544—2O08“Discharge standardof waterpollutantsforpulpand paper industry”,which indicated that the prepared catalyst had stable activity and no secondary polution.
