Control Effects of Topramezone ⋅⋅ Thiencarbazone - Methyl 2.6% OD on Annual Weeds in Corn Fields

Abstract：Inrecent years，weeds incorn fields had developed higher resistance to nicosulfuron andatrazine.Field plot trials to find more selective，eficient andenvironmentall friendlyalternative post-emergence herbicides forcorn were conducted in Chaohu City，Anhui Provincein2O24．The studyaimed toevaluate efficacy，weed control spectrum，and selectivity of topramezone·thiencarbazone-methyl2. 6% OD in corn fields. The results showed that topramezone·thiencarbazone - methyl 2.6% OD exhibited a broad-spectrum herbicidal activity，efctively controlling annual grassy weeds such as Digitaria sanguinalis （L.）Scop.and Echinochloa crusgalli（L.）and most broadleaf weeds such as AmaranthusretroflexusL.，AbutilontheophrastiMedic.，Alternantheraphiloxeroides（Mart.）Griseb.andAcalypha australis L.. At 3O days after application，plant control effect on various weeds ranged from 87.3% to 98.2% ，while fresh weight control effect reached 90.7%-99.6% .The recommended doses was 39.0-58.5 g a. i./hm2 ，applied as a foliar spray with adding water 600L/hm2 at 3-6 leaves stage of corn. The herbicide demonstrated excellent crop safety with no adverse effects on corn growth and contributed to significant yield improvement.
