【Abstract】Objective：To observe the clinical effcacy of modified Dachahu Decoction in the treatmentof type 2 diabetes melltus（T2DM）with liver and stomach damp-heat type.Methods：130 T2DM patients of liverand stomach damp-heat type were randomly divided into a conventional group of 65 cases treated with conventional western medicine and a traditional Chinese and western medicine group of 65 cases treated with modified Dachahu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine.The syndrome scores，blood glucose levels，insulin-related indicators，inflammatory factorsand clinical eficacyofthe two groups were compared.Results：After4 weeks of treatment，the syndrome scoreof the traditional Chineseand western medicine group aftertreatment waslowerthan thatof theconventional group（ P<0.05 ）.The blood glucose level，insulin -related indicators and inflammatory factor levels of the traditional Chinese and western medicine group after treatment were allbetter than those of the conventional group（ P< 0. 05）. The total effective rate of the traditional Chinese and western medicine group was 90.77% ，which was higher than 76.92% of the conventional group（ P<0.05 ）.Conclusion：Modified Dachahu Decoction combined with conventional western medicine can effctively alleviate patients’symptoms，lower blood sugar and improve insulin -related indicators and inflammatory factor levels.
