【Abstract】Diabetic kidney disease （DKD） is one of the common and serious microvascular complications of diabetes and has becomea major factor in end-stage kidney disease worldwide.Currently，thenumberof DKD patients accounts for 8% to 10% of the world's total population，and it is expected to increase to 592 million by 2035.The incidenceof DKD in China is also graduall increasing.Dueto thecomplex pathogenesisof DKD，it has aded many challenges toclinical treatment.P53，as an important tumor suppresor gene，has been confirmed to play a significant role inthe occurrenceand development of diabetic kidney disease.In recent years，an increasing number of studies have focusedonthe treatment of diabetic kidney diseasebyregulating P53 with traditional Chinese medicine，achieving remarkable results.This paperaims to systematicall sort out and summarize the latest research progress inthis field， providing new ideas and strategies for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease.
