AbstractBuilding an RDMservice capability evaluation model can help universities assessthecurrent readinessand servicelevel of RDM services，provide stakeholders with adiscussion framework forRDMservice strategydevelopment， and promote RDM service planning，development，improvement，and optimization atthe university level.This study conducts literature research and online research methods to investigate and sort out the RDM service capability evaluation modelsofforeign universities.Three modelsare selected from them and analyzed fromthe perspectives of evaluation methods，evaluation content，model application. Relevant suggestions are proposed for constructing a localized RDM service capability evaluation model for universities.
