A Multidimensional Value Study of the Folk Library Chetham's Library in the UK

AbstractTheChetham’sLibraryistheoldestpubliclibraryintheUK，havingadheredtotheprincipleoffree public welfare for 37O years.This paper employs a case study approach to analyze the five value dimensions of Chetham's Library，namely spatialvalue，colectionvalue，communityengagement value，Cultural heritagevalue.Basedonthese，it proposes： strengthening spatial awareness，clarifying colection priorities，collaboratively building acultural ecosystem， preserving social memory，and enhancing governance capabilities，with the aimof providing areference for the longterm development of private libraries in our country.
