Abstract: As a fluid biopsy analyte, microRNA (miRNA) exists in saliva, plasma urine, and other body fluids,and is related to various diseases, including cancer.It is an ideal biomarker for early clinical diagnosis of cancer. Among the various techniques for the detection of miRNA,electrochemical detection technology has been proved to be a potential detection method because of its low cost, easy miniaturization,and high sensitivity.In particular, the use of metal nanomaterials greatly improves the sensitivity of miRNA sensors and promotes the rapid development of electrochemical detection of miRNA. In this paper, the advantages and disadvantages of metal nanomaterials in the field of miRNA are discussed, the application and challenges of metal nanomaterials-mediated miRNA electrochemical sensors are reviewed, and its practical application prospect is prospected.
