Abstract: In order to solve the problem of resource utilization of biomass power plant ash, ashes were collected and analyzed from 10 biomass power plants in the Yangtze River Delta region. The phase composition, chemical characteristics, and micro-morphology of biomass power plant ashes were systematically investigated through various characterization equipment including X-ray difraction, Xray fluorescence spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscope, aiming to explore potential resource utilization pathways. The results indicate that the fuel used in biomass power plants largely affects the chemical composition of the ash. The mass fractions of SiO2 , CaO,and Al2O3 in the biomass bottom slag are high.Notably, the biomass bottom ash from the 9th biomass power plant shows the highest SiO2 mass fraction at 67.55% . In contrast, biomass fly ash contains elevated levels of CaO , Cl- and K2O ,with finer particles and fewer pores. The synergistic application of biomass bottom ash and biomass fly ash can optimize the ratio of Ca and Si, providing a novel approach for the utilization of biomass power plant ash residues in building material production.
