AbstractIn order to explore the efcts of different film mulching types on the growth of Populus davidiana, the 50g mulching film (M1), 70g mulching film (M2),roll mulching film (M3 )and no mulch (CK)were set to study the effects of different surface mulch on the growth of Populus davidiana and the soil moisture content. The results showed that 50g mulching film (M1), 70g mulching film (M2) and roll mulching film(M3) significantly increased the height and diameter of Populus davidiana seedlings compared with CK.The net increment of seedling height increased by 126.11%.74.3% 、and 238.11% (20 respectively compared with CK. The net increment of ground diameter increased by 29.34%,3.61% 、and 69.59% . The soil water content of upper slope and middle slope was significantly increased by mulching treatment.Due to the influence of slope,the distribution of soil water at low slope is unstable.The soil water content of 20~40cm soil layer treated with CK was significantly lower than that treated with mulching film.
