Factors Influencing Undergraduate Students'Engagement in Physical Exercise -AnEmpirical Study Based on Students from Peking University

Abstract:Teordatedevelopmntofoalntellctual,yicalthtic,ndlaboruationistat reflectionofeducationalreformanddevelopment intheneweraaswellasakeymeasure toimplementthefundamentaltask offosteringirtueandeducatingpeople.Physicaleducationservesastheormerstoneformoral,intellctual,sthetic, andlaboreducation.However,teurrentsituationofuniversitytudents’participationinphysicalexerciseislesstanideal. Basedonaquestionnairesurveyconductedatauniversity,thisstudyrevealsthatfactorssuchasgendercademicyear numberofsportsskilsmastered,participationinstudentorganzations,andthepresenceofexercisecompanionssignif icantlyaffectstudents’engagementinphysical exercise.Inlightof thesefindings,itisrecommended thatuniversities encourage students’physicalexercise participationand improve their physicalfitness byoptimizing top-level design, advancing teaching reforms, innovating sports culture,and upgrading software and hardware facilities.
