Analysis of the role and strategies of health education in the management of chronic diseases among elderly people in the community

【Abstract】Objective：To evaluate the role and strategies of health education in the management of chronic diseases among elderly people in the community.Methods：88 chronic disease patients within the jurisdiction of our community service center were selected.The patients were divided into two groups according to the principle of random coding grouping.The control group（44 cases） adopted systematic chronic disease management，and the observation group（44 cases） adopted community-based integrated health education.The quality of life before and after intervention and medication compliance between the two groups were compared.Results：After intervention，the scores of social function，material life，psychological function and physical function in both groups increased compared to before intervention （P
