"Four-in-One” ecological polyculture technology for the Mercenaria mercenaria in northern coastal aquaculture ponds

Abstract：To address issues such as resource wastage，environmental pollution，and frequent disease outbreaks caused by traditional monoculture practices in northern China， an ecological polyculture experiment was conducted featuring the Mercenaria mercenaria ， Penaeus monodon ， Penaeus japonicus ， and Scylla serrata. Building on the climatic and aquaculture conditions of northern China，this study validated the feasibility and practicality of an innovative "Four-in-One" ecological polyculture model—combining shrimp，crab，clam，and seaweed. The findings provide a technical foundation for advancing sustainable coastal aquaculture in northern China.
