Evaluation of “Qingnong No. 2” Argopecten irradians culture in Beidaihe coastal area

Abstract：In order to comprehensively understand the growth diferences and breeding effects of the newly introduced "Qingnong No.2" bay scallop along the coast of Beidaihe and the original main breeding variety，a comparative experiment of scallop breding was conducted in the artificial river bay scallop breeding area of Beidaihe New District，Qinhuangdao City in 2O24. The experimental results show that "Qingnong No.2" has the characteristics of fast growth rate and high meat yield from the shell column. Compared with "Zhongkehong" and " Haiyifeng 12" ， "Qingnong No. 2" has an average weight and shell column weight that are 38% ， 10.1% ，and 47% ， 9.8% higher，respectively. Qingnong No.2 "is superior to the original main breeding variety and is an excelent breeding variety suitable for large- scale promotion and breeding along the coast of Beidaihe.
