Abstract:Fish resource surveys were conducted in August—September of 202l and 2023 in the Gar River to study the structure of fish communities and growth characteristics of indigenous fishes and to providea scientific basis for theconservation of local fish biodiversityand the promotion of sustainable utilization of resources. The results showed that four species of indigenous fishes belonging to one order, two families and three genera were detected in both surveys. And two species of invasive fishes were investigatedin2O23.Theanalysis of fish ecotypes rvealed a high percentage of omnivorous fish and benthic fish in the Gar River, both accounting for 66.67% of the total. Biodiversity indices showed that the diversity indices of all three fish species in the Gar River were low, with D values always ranging between 0~1.25 , H′ between 0~1.34 ,and J values between 0~1 in each sampling period. The regression fiting equations for body length and weight of indigenous fishes showed that Triplophysa stenura, Ptychobarbus conirostris, were negative anisotropic growth types, Gymnocypris firmispinatus, was a uniform growth type, and Triplophysa tibetana, was a positive anisotropic growth type. The Fultons state index (K)offish showed that the mean K value of the fourfish species varied from 0.95 to1.22.The ABCcurves indicated that the fish community in the area was ina stable state and thatcontinued monitoring of exotic species and river connectivity restoration studies are necessary for follow一up.
