Bai Shifeng， a native of Changzhou， has been obsessed with bamboo carving and devoted himself to this craft for more than 50 years. On the basis of absorbing bamboo carving strengths of other schools， he innovates and creates Surface[1]retaining Bamboo Carving of the Changzhou Bai Family. He is even praised by Wang Shixiang as a leading authority in the field of the surface-retaining bamboo carving.
