[Abstract]Research has found that competitive endogenous RNA （ceRNA）regulates the progression of periodontitis by modulating the transcriptional responseof inflammation-related mediators.ceRNA，including long noncoding RNA， circularRNA，andmessengerRNA，canbind tomicroRNA toformaceRNAnetwork，regulate theexpressionof downstreamtarget genes，and influencetheoccurrenceanddevelopmentof periodontitis.Thisarticlesummarizes theroleand mechanismofceRNA inregulatingtheoccurrenceand development ofperiodontitis that have been verifiedby experimentalevidence.This article alsoreviews theresearch progressin inhibiting and promoting theoccurrenceand development of periodontitis，and provides new ideas for future research on periodontitis.
