Synthesis of PW12/ZrO2 nanofibers by electrospinning and their oxidative desulfurization performance

Abstract: In this paper, PW12/ZrO2 nanofiber catalysts with different amount of PW12 were prepared using N,N-dimethylformamide,chloro-zirconium oxide, PW12 and polyvinylpyrrolidone as raw materials by electrospinning technology. The structure,morphology and composition of (20 PW12/Zr2 nanofiber catalysts were analyzed via variety of characterization techniques, such as X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and so on. At the same time,the catalytic oxidation desulfurization performance was also investigated. The results showed that 0.02g of 40 wt. % PW12/ZrO2 nanofiber catalyst,when the O/s was 6:1 at 70°C ,hada conversion rate of dibenzothiohene(DBT)over 98% within 120min . Moreover,these catalysts have good recyclability. Such catalytic materials exhibit excellent catalytic stability and have great potential for industrial application.
