Risk Assessment and Source Apportionment of Heavy Pollution Metals in Riparian Soils of Dasi River in Jinan City

Abstract:To studythecharacteristicsand sourcesof heavymetalpolutioninthesoil along DasiRiverin Jinan City,68 soil sampling points were arranged along Dasi River,andthe soil contents of heavy metal elementsof As,Cd,Cr,Cu, Hg,Ni, Pb ,and Zn were respectively analyzed.The polution level of metals in soil was evaluated byusing the geoaccumulation index and potential ecological risk index,andthe sources of heavymetal polution were analyzed by using the positive definite matrix factor(PMF)analysis.The results show thatthe contents of the selected eight elements are lower thanthe screening values of soil polutionriskof agriculturalland insoil environmental qualitystandards.Theaverage contents of As,Cd,Hg and Zn are higher than those of in soil of Jinan City,indicating different enrichment trends and variability. The element order of the geo-accumulation index from high to low is Cd,As,Zn, Hg ,Cr,Cu, Pb ,Ni. The soilsin the study area are predominantly contaminated by Hg and Cd ,and there are also pollutions of Cu ,Pb and Zn to varyingdegrees.Thecomprehensive potentialecologicalriskindexis109.35,ndicating thatthecomprehensive ecological risk is low.Natural sources,natural-industrial sources,agricultural sources,transportationsourcesand comprehensive sources are the main sources of heavy metals in soil,with a contribution rate of 29.1%, 22.5% , 10.1% , 22% and 16.3% , respectively.ThesoilalongDasiRiver iscurrentlyinanunpollutedorslightlypolutedstate,nd theenvironmentalquality is good.
