Simultaneous Determination of Ten Components in Maren Capsules by HPLC

Abstract:Objective To establish a high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)method for the simultaneous determination of ten components in Maren Capsules,including paeoniflorin,hesperidin,aloe-emodin,nobiletin, rhein,emodin,honokiol,magnolol,chrysophanol,and physcion.Methods The analysis was performed on a Pntulips B NT-C column ( 250mm×4.6mm , 5μm )maintained at 30∘C .The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile 18 and- 0.1% phosphoric acid with gradient elution at a flow rate of 0.9mL⋅min-1 . The detection wavelength was set at (20 230nm ,and the injection volume was 10μL .Results The ten components exhibited good linear relationships within their respective concentration ranges ( r⩾0.9993 ). The average recoveries were 97.82% , 99.28% , 97.83% , 100.57% , 101.80% , 98.28% , 99.09% , 102.66% , 101.71% ,and 101.30% ,with RSD values all below 3.0% . In six batches of Maren Capsules,the average content ranges of paeoniflorin, hesperidin,aloe-emodin,nobiletin,rhein,emodin, honokiol,magnolol,chrysophanol,and physcion were 5.6771-6.9871,1.2609-2.7185,0.5103-0.8032,0.1628- 0.2757,0.170 1-0.2623,0.3071-0.7478,0.058 7-0.0757,0.1013-0.1547,2.8629-9.2512,and 0.564 6- (204号 1.3464mg⋅g-1 ,respectively.Conclusion This method isaccurate and reproducible,suitable for the quality evaluation and control of Maren capsules,and provides a reference for improving its quality standards .
