Abstract： The Word "Juan Ce′′ occupies a significant place in the historical evolution of Chineseliteratures，representingthetransitional phase from scrolls （juan）to booklets （ce）.This study examines the origins and development of the word through historical linguistics and bibliometric analysis，usingmultiple databases as primary sources.The research shows that "Juan Ce′′ first appeared during the Song and Yuan dynasties，experienced rapid growth in the Ming dynasty，and reached its peak in both specialization and frequency during the Qing dynasty. In the Republic of China era，its usage gradually declined， andwith the modernization of document carriers in contemporary times，the word has largely fadedinto historical linguistic discourse.
