Abstract：The development of digital humanitiesin Japan isdriven by the discipline of informationresources management. Its roles， structures，and methodological contributions provide significantinsightsfordigital humanitiesresearch in Asia and the world.Based on scholarly observations and primary Japanese- language sources，this study systematically examinesthe progress of digital humanitiesin Japan in terms ofacademic community building，higher education curriculum systems，and practical projects. The research employs literature analysis，case studies，and comparative analysis to providea comprehensive overview.Japan's digital humanities development began with the construction of digital archives，gradually establishinginterdisciplinary collaboration platforms. Through the disciplineofinformationresourcesmanagement， technological applications and international cooperation have been expanded to emerging fields such as digital history and digital arts.By analyzingthe development path of digital humanities in Japan from the perspective of information resources management，this study provides valuable references for the development of digital humanities in China and other Asian countries where this discipline plays a central role，contributing to the diversification and deepening of regional studies.
