Abstract: Gasdrilingforthedevelopmentoftightsandstone gasreservoirs isof naturaladvantages inavoidingreservoir damage.However,thelackofclearunderstandingofitsmechanisms introduces uncertaintiesregarding itsabilitytoachieve efficient production.Toaddress this isse,a systematic review was conductedonthe experiences and lessons learmed from gas drillngforthedevelopmentoftightsandstone gasreservoirs.TegasdrillngpracticesintheDibeiandwesternSichuanegions were usedas examples.Basedondrillng monitoringdatasuchas methane concentrationandoutlethumidityandthroughthe analysis ofcuttings X-ray diffraction and logging datathe mechanisms foreffcient production were examined.The study revealedthatproductivegaspoints inhgh-yieldwelscoespondedtotheheightofthesandstone-shalelithologicalinterface, confirming that thederivedfracture networksystemserves as te primary gasstorage spaceand gasproductionpathwaymaking it a crucial targetfor welboretrajectory. Influencedbyfault zones,waterfromthelowerpartofaquiferscould migrate tothe upper part ofthe faultdrop Zone.Therefore,welldeployment should be basedonhigh structural pointsandfaultuplift zones, taking intoaccountreservoir evolutionandtectonic movementhistoryforoptimization.Itis believedthat furtherin-depth researchinengineeringgeologicalmechanics isneeded,focusingontheeffctivenessof ithological interfacefractures,the relationshipbetweegasand water inaquifers,andtheirimpacts.Additionallythedevelopment of gas drilingandcompletion techniquesand tools for complex environments should be pursued.
