Complex Fluid Identification Method for Ultra Deep Heterogeneous Low Porosity Sandstone Reservoirs

Abstract:TheburialdepthofCretaceous BashkirchikFormationinBozi-DabeiareaofKuqa Depression,TarimBasinismore than 6000m , and the porosity is mainly distributed between 6%~9% . At the same time, the complex pore structure, significant changes inregionalformation water mineralizationand geostressresult inlowcontrastinelectricalresistivitybetweengasand waterlayers.Thepoorphysicalpropertiesof te matrixresult inpoorapplicabilityofnonelectricalfluididentificationmethods suchas arrayacousticrock mechanics parameters and neutron-densityenvelope.Adetailed analysisofregional geological characteristics was conducted toaddress the identification problem oflowcontrast ingasand water layer resistivity inthe Bozi-Dabei Region,andthree electricalidentification methodshavebeendeveloped,including the precise establishmentof porosityresistivity intersection diagram method instress Znes,pure waterlayerresistivityinversion method,andadjacent mudstoneresistivitycomparison method.At thesametime,anonelectrical identification methodfor two-dimensional nuclear magnetic T1–T2 intersectionmap that is not affected bythe skeleton was introduced.This fluid identification method was appliedtothetrackingand interpretationofexplorationwelsintheBozi-Dabei Area,interpretationcoincidencerateinceased by 16.7% ,effectively solved the difficultyoffluid identification caused bylow contrastofgas and waterlayerresistivitydue to complex geologicalconditions intheBozi-DabeiRegion. Itprovides apowerful technical means toavoidoiland gaseservoir leakageinthestudyarea.Ithas importantapplicationandpopularizationsignificancein thedomesticultra-deeptightsandstone reservoirs such as the souther margin foreland basin ofJunggar,Xinjiang and Hetao Basin of Huabei Oilfield.
