Abstract： The key to improving the cultivation quality of socialist core values in medical colleges and universities，enhancing their dissemination eficiency，consolidating the foundation of medical students’ideals and beliefs，and uniting the spiritual strength of medical students to serve society and dedicate themselves to the people，lies in integrating the red doctor spirit into the cultivation process of medical students’socialist core values.Faced with the dilemmas encountered in the cultivation of socialist core values in medical coleges and universities，this paper traced the connection between the red doctor spirit and the socialist core values and reflectedon the profoundvalue connotations after the integration of the two，thereby providing theoretical references for finding appropriate cultivation methods and approaches in the future.
