Abstract NingdouNo.9isanew high-oiland high-yield soybean varietydeveloped bytheCrops Instituteof Ningxia Academy ofAgriculturalandForestrySciences.Itwas bredbythe methodof using the malenuclearsterilematerial of soybean msl as the female parent and over 7O domestic superior soybean germplasm such as Zhonghuang 3O and Zhongpin 661as themixed male parent.Thebreeding process，characteristic features，and yield performance in production trialsand demonstrations of Ningdou No.9aresystematicall introduced.Based on breeding practice，the key points of cultivation technologies and breeding experience of Ningdou No.9 are summarized.
