Field Control Effect and Safety Evaluation of Seed Treatment on Potato Underground Pests

Abstract In order to find out the occurrence and damage of potato underground pests in Ningxia,and screen outthe pesticides suitable for local prevention and control of potato underground pests,six pesticides were used asmaterials to carryout field pestcontrol experimentsand safety evaluation.Theresultsshowed that the leaf colorand growth of potato treated with 6 kinds of fungicides were normal,and no phytotoxicitywas observed, whichwere safefor potato growth.The main underground pests in the testfield are grubs andwireworms.After the seeds were treated with 35% carbosulfan, 70% thiamethoxam and 10% clothianidin, the comprehensive control effects of underground pests were 85.56% 83.50% and 84.38% ,respectiveiy,and the yield was more than (20 43500kg⋅hm-2 ,which was significantly higher than that of the control agent and the blank control.Considering the safety of potato growth and the control effect on pests,it is recommended to use 35% carbosulfan, 70% (204号 thiamethoxam and 10% clothianidin to control potato underground pests in production.
