【Abstract】ObjectiveTo study MRI findings intraspinal primary melanocytic neoplasms （ISPMN）and investigate theirvalue in thediagnosis.MethodsMR images werereviewedandanalyzedon2caseswith intraspinal primarymelanocytic neoplasms，which were comfirmed by pathology，and through reviewing the relevant literature in the past6years，combined withthe existing experience improve the understanding the disease.ResultsOne case waslocated in the spinal canal atL2 plane.The tumorspread and grew along theright intervertebral foramen the extravertebral canaland paravertebral，the tumor appeared as "dumbbell"shape，the short Tand short' signals were displayedon plainscan，the lesions were markedly strong and inhomogeneous in contrast-enhanced imaging;One case waslocated inthe spinalcanalatC4/5plane.The lesionshowed shortTandshortTsignals，atached the dorsal dura mater，the tumor showed obvious enhancement inthe contrast-enhanced image and "dura tail sign".According relevant literature reports in the past 6years，14 cases with ISPMNoccured in the cervical segment，，10 cases in the thoracic segment，and4cases in theLumbosacral vertebrae，the plain scan mostly presented short Tand short T2 signals.ConclusionMRcan make accurate imaging diagnosis most lesions and MR can reveal the intraspinal primary melanocytic neoplasms the tumorand locate.Although ithas typical MRimaging findings，it is sometimes misdiagnosed.
