Constructing the Functions of Next-Generation Smart Bookshelves in Libraries from the Perspective of Al-Enabled Foundational Technologies

Abstract This paper systematically reviews the aplication of RFID technology inmodern library shelving systems.In lightof therecent emergence of artificial inteligence（AI）asa foundational technology，the paper examines the convergenceof modernbookshelf functionalitieswith AI capabilities，andexplores the futuredirectionsof smart bookshelf development. It proposes that a next-generation smart bookshelf service system driven by humanoid robots shouldbe builtaround fivekey functional dimensions：intelligent data collection，platform integration，autonomous management，virtual visualization，and user-centeredservices.These functionsaimtoreconstruct library workflows and enableseamless integrationofAItechnologiesacros libraryservice platforms.Ultimately，suchsmart functionalitisare to be implemented in intelligent terminals， including humanoid robots and smart bookshelves.
