Ultrasound manifestations quantitative parameters in infants with developmental dysplasia of the hip Yang Hui,Liu Zongyin

【Abstract】 Objective To analyze the ultrasonic manifestations clinical value of quantitative ultrasound parameters in infants young children with developmental dysplasiaof the hip (DDH).MethodsA totalof 122 infants young children with suspected DDH in the centerfrom January 2O23 to January 2024 were selected for hip ultrasound examination.The clinical symptoms combined with pelvic X-ray findings were used as the gold stard for DDH diagnosis,the diagnostic eficiencyof ultrasoundon DDH the ultrasound manifestationsof DDH were analyzed.One hundred twenty-two infants young children were divided into DDH group nonDDH group.The differences in bilateral hip joint α angle, β angle femoral head coverage (FHC) were compared. ResultsTwenty-five cases (20.49% )ofDDH97cases (79.5 % )ofnon-DDHwere detectedin122 infants young children. The proportion of female in DDH group was higher than that in non-DDH group ( χ∠ =4.814, P= 0.028),but there wasno statistical differences inage between groups (t=O.618,P=.538). Ultrasoundresultsshowed that among the 122 infants young children,there were 13 cases (10.66 % )of type I,82 cases (67.21% )of type ⅡI a+,14 cases (11.5 % ) of type II a,6 cases (4.9 % ) of typeD,4 cases (3.3 % )of type Il , 3 cases (2.5 % ) of type IV.The incidence rate of DDH was 22.1 % (27/122).There was no statistical significance in the site of disease among all the types (P>O.O5).The sensitivity specificity of ultrasound in the diagnosis of DDH were 88.0% 94.8% respectively, compared with the gold stard,the Kappa value was O.8O4. The hip joint α angle FHC in the DDH group were lower than those in the normal group while the β anglewas higher than that non-DDH group(P< 0.05).ConclusionUltrasound examination has good diagnostic eficiency on DDH in infants young children. The quantitative parameters of hip joint α angle, β angle FHC measured by ultrasound are significantly different from those of normal infants young children, whichcan provide an efectivereference forthe clinical diagnosis of DDH.
