AbstractWith the rapid development of the livestock and poultry breeding industry, veterinary antimicrobial drugs are extensively used to prevent and treat animal diseases or added to feed at sub-therapeutic doses to promote growth. However,a significant portion of these drugs is excreted from animals in their originalformorasmetabolites through feces and urine. If livestock waste and wastewater containing residual drugs are discharged without ffective treatment orappliedtofarmlandas manure, theycancause polution to soil and water. This notonlyafects plant growth and metabolism but also mayposeathreat to human health through thefoodchain.Consequently, the toxic effects of veterinary antimicrobial drugs on plants and their mechanisms have become a focal point of research in recent years. This paper reviewed and summarized relevant domestic and international research literature, andoutlined the residual statusof veterinaryantimicrobialdrugs in plantsandtheir impacts onplant health, soas toprovidereferencesforfuture toxicological studies of antimicrobial drugs on plants.
