Research on the Influence of Direct and Lateral Inflow on the Flow Equilibrium in a Multi-Cell Pressurized Culvert

Abstract:TherearemanydrainageprojectsonthleftbankofthemidleroutechaeloftheSouthto-Noth WaterDiversionProject,and theinflowcondtionsofdrainageculvertareverycomplex.Inrecentyars,thecontinuousheavyrainandfloodsinHenanandHebeimade thedraifloodssafetyofteleftbankveyserious.Aleftbankdainageculvertadacenttotersevoirspillyastakenaseaple whichwithlateralitealfuene.Fotticalokigonditoofspllydsagndraliiopodtodyte hdrodynamiccharacteristicsofpresureurentandqulibuofachclertBystablishingthemathematicalodelofteintesection area + dark culvert hydrodynamics based on the RNG k ε model,a numerical simulation study of upstream flood and different lateral confluenceratioisoductedefloate,foweloityistributioaratioinurblentiecendfohacteisiofl iedculvertareanalyzedhichlsocomparedwithtephysicalmodeltestresults.Thesimulationresultsshowthattehdrodamicis graduallsifsoigtstoueasaeefttdghtsidis.,sooib umandcapaciyofteulvertarebviouslydisturbd.Tediversionpileacafectielyiibittelefteu,ndthblaefach culvertflow has been significantly improved.Themaximum deviationof the leftandrightinhomogeneityisdecreased by 27.8% with pile array,and local turbulent kinetic energy is decreased by 44% . It can improve the culvert overflow ability effectively.
