Impact of Flue Gas Desulfurization Process in Coal -fired Power Plants on Atmospheric Sulfur Dioxide Pollution Concentration

Abstract:Inordertocontrolthedegreeofatmosphericpolutioncausedbycoal-firedpowerplants,afluegasdesulfurization processforcoal-firedpowerplantsisstudiedtoinvestgateitsimpactontheconcentrationofatmospericsulfurdioxidepolutiohe limestonegypsumwetfluegasdesulfurizationprocesswasusedtotreatthefuegasdesulfurizationofcoal-fredpowergenerationuitsin thesecondphaseexpansionprojectofapowerplantTheultravioletspectrophotometrymethodwasselectedtoetecttheconcentratioof sulfurdioxidepolutioninatmospericsamples.Theexperimentalresultsshowthatwhntheresidencetimeoffueasis6miutes,the flue gas desulfurization efficiency of coal-fired power plants remains above 98% .After flue gas desulfurization treatment,the atmospheric sulfur dioxide concentration decreased from 15.76μg/m3 and 15.59μg/m3 to 8.22μg/m3 and 8.16μg/m3 .The verification of flue gasdesulfurzationtechnologycanreducetheconcentrationofatmosphericsulfurdioxidepolution,reducethepolutionofcoalfired power plants to the atmosphere,significantly improve air quality and protect ecological balance.
