New research and development strategies and cutting-edge technology applications of antifungal drugs

Abstract:Inthecontextoftheincreasingglobalburdenoffungalinfections,thedevelopmentofantifungal drugsfacs the dualchallnges of significant drug toxicityand escalating drug resistance.Thedevelopment of antifungal agents withlow toxicityandreducedresistance hasbecomeakeyresearch focus.Thisarticlesystematicallyreviews themechanismsand limitationsof currntantifungal drugs,witha particularemphasisonnovelresearch and development strategies basedon natural productdiscovery,structuraloptimization,drug repurposing,and nano-deliverysystems.Furthermore,it explores thecriticalrolesofcuting-edge technologies,suchasartificialintelligence,CRISPR-Cas9geneediting,high-throughput screening,andorganoid models innewdrugdesign,mechanismresearch,anddrugdevelopment evaluation.Byintegrating innovativeachievementsfrominterdisciplinaryfields,thisreviewaimstoprovideatheoretical foundationanddirectional guidance for the precisedesign,efficient screening,and clinical translation of antifungal drugs.
