Abstract:【Objective】Throughanin-depthstudyoftheleafmorphologyof1speciesofPhoebe,toprovideatheoreticalbasisforthe identifcationadclasifcationofoebe.【etod】Troughmorpologicalobseationcombedwithopticalmicrosopyaing electronicooydasooicaeofoosopicactis leafepidemis,ndanatomicalstructurecharacterisicsofleaves wasdeeplyinvestigated【Result】1)hepenotypictraitsoflaves exhibitsignieongtaieaouet-sle mediumleaves,andsmalleaves.Withinspeciesvariationinleafpolymorphictraitswithmidribaboveandbelowistable.P.zhan P.bourneiand P. hui present the morphological characteristics of the midrib being sunken onthe upper surfaceand protrudedon the lowerurface.Tebacksoflaveseinndpetiolesofthe10speciesallavehirstoaryingdegreswithtemotiicant diferencebeingteiiessontebacksofeaves;2)anticlinalwallofeuppeepidesarestraighttorcdndtoeof thelowerepidermisare iregularandshalowlywavyStomataareonlydistributedonthelowerepidermis.Thestomatal morphology issimilaramong diffrent species,butthestomataldensityvariessignificantly,withthehighestdensityin P. chekiangensis;3) The cuticularoramentationoftheupperepidermisandthewaxyamentationoftheowerepidermisardiverseanddiferamongspecies. Epidermalhairsaredistributedonteleafepideisofallspecies,allinguniceluarirs,andteensityofepideralisows significant diferenceamongdiferentspecies;4)Theanatomicalstructurerevealsthatthelavesofthe1Phoebespecies areall bifacialeavesposdofaideissohllssediseolesempodoideislle andphloem.Tereaesifatdferenesinthlisadespongatioeafticesndtestrbutioposiosofucileels amongdifferentspecies.Conclusion】Theleafmorphologyandanatomicalcharacteristcsofthe10Phoebespeciesaresignificantly different,whichcan provide important reference bases forthe identification and classification of Phoebe.
