Abstract:【Objective】Cultivatinglarge-diametertimberisalwaysthekeyobjectiveofChinesefir(Cunninghamialanceolata) forest management.Theexperimentalshapenumberandtimberyieldrate,asimportant indexestomeasurethequalityof thelargediametertimberfir,playacrucialrole inaccuratelycalculatingitsvolumeandevaluatingitseconomicvalue.【Method】Inthis study Huangfengqiaostate-ownedforestiYouxianCountyZhuzhouCityHunanProvincewasselectedastheesearcharea.istlyff large diameter Chinese fr trees with diameter level of 32⋅46cm were selected to calculate the experimental shape number and analyze thechanelawwithDBHandtreheightSecondlyusingtedataoftreehightDBHwitharkndDBHwithoutbark,teieldable oflarge-diameterChinesefiwaspreparedTheaveragetimberyieldrateofthelarge-diameterChinesefiwascalculatedbyweighted averageftheyieldateinachameterevel.【Result】Theexperimentalshapeumbeofage-dameterfirtrerangedfrom070to 0.489,withaverageeof1cheasdiheceaseoH,ndowedtrdofsteasig,tsing andthenincreasing withtheincreaseof treeheight.The averagewood yieldrateofthelarge-diametertimber Chinesefirranged from 74.62% to 84.93% ,and the average value was 82.07% ,and it decreasedwith the increase of diameter level.【Conclusion】The averageexperimentalshapenumberofthelarge-diameterChinesefirisnotmuchdiffrentfromtheexperimentalshapenumberof0.42 usuallusedinpractice.Thus,usingO42tocalculatethevolumeofthefrwouldnotafectthetimberyieldrateandeconomicvalue ofChinesefir.Theaveragetimberyieldrateoftelarge-diametertimberofChinesefrisgherthantheaveragetimberyieldateof 72.00% commonlyusedinpractice.Therefore,inthestand withthemajorityofChinesefirarelarge-diameter timber,using 72.00% toestimatelarge-diametertimberyieldratewillunderestimatethetimberyieldrateandeconomicvalueofChinesefr.Tisstudycan provideatheoreticalreferencefortevolumeestiationndeconomicvalueessmntofthelargedameterfrtresinHuanfegqiao ForestFarmin Youxian County and other areaswith similar terrain and climate conditions.
