Abstract：【Objective】Cultivatinglarge-diametertimberisalwaysthekeyobjectiveofChinesefir（Cunninghamialanceolata） forest management.Theexperimentalshapenumberandtimberyieldrate，asimportant indexestomeasurethequalityof thelargediametertimberfir，playacrucialrole inaccuratelycalculatingitsvolumeandevaluatingitseconomicvalue.【Method】Inthis study Huangfengqiaostate-ownedforestiYouxianCountyZhuzhouCityHunanProvincewasselectedastheesearcharea.istlyff large diameter Chinese fr trees with diameter level of 32⋅46cm were selected to calculate the experimental shape number and analyze thechanelawwithDBHandtreheightSecondlyusingtedataoftreehightDBHwitharkndDBHwithoutbark，teieldable oflarge-diameterChinesefiwaspreparedTheaveragetimberyieldrateofthelarge-diameterChinesefiwascalculatedbyweighted averageftheyieldateinachameterevel.【Result】Theexperimentalshapeumbeofage-dameterfirtrerangedfrom070to 0.489，withaverageeof1cheasdiheceaseoH，ndowedtrdofsteasig，tsing andthenincreasing withtheincreaseof treeheight.The averagewood yieldrateofthelarge-diametertimber Chinesefirranged from 74.62% to 84.93% ，and the average value was 82.07% ，and it decreasedwith the increase of diameter level.【Conclusion】The averageexperimentalshapenumberofthelarge-diameterChinesefirisnotmuchdiffrentfromtheexperimentalshapenumberof0.42 usuallusedinpractice.Thus，usingO42tocalculatethevolumeofthefrwouldnotafectthetimberyieldrateandeconomicvalue ofChinesefir.Theaveragetimberyieldrateoftelarge-diametertimberofChinesefrisgherthantheaveragetimberyieldateof 72.00% commonlyusedinpractice.Therefore，inthestand withthemajorityofChinesefirarelarge-diameter timber，using 72.00% toestimatelarge-diametertimberyieldratewillunderestimatethetimberyieldrateandeconomicvalueofChinesefr.Tisstudycan provideatheoreticalreferencefortevolumeestiationndeconomicvalueessmntofthelargedameterfrtresinHuanfegqiao ForestFarmin Youxian County and other areaswith similar terrain and climate conditions.
