Machine Vision-based Water Injection and Constant Volume Method forMilliliter-scaleVolumetric Flasks

Abstract:Toaddressthe isueofsignificantdriperrorsduring theautomatic machine vision-based water injectionandonstant volumeprocessformillierscalevolumetricfasks,fourimaging-asistedmenisusetectionmethodswitoutextealreference objectsandasubmergedcontinuous waterinjectionmethodfromthepipeorificeareproposed.During therapid waterinjectionphase intheflaskbody,themaximumrowgrayscaledetectionmethodisemployedforrapidmeniscusdetection.Intheslowwaterinjection phaseattheflaskneck,eitherthemaximumparticledetectionmethodortheedgedetectionmethdisused totrackthemeniscus. Duringthefinalconstantvolumephase,themaximumparticledetectionmethodisfirstused toconstructeregionofinterestforthe meniscus.Then,therowgrayscalegradientdetectionmethodisutlizedforprecisedetectionofthemeniscuslowestpoint(concave point).Forcases wheretheconcave meniscus isnotobvious,theedgedetection methodisadopted.Experimental verification was conductedusingaself-developedmachinevisionautomatic waterinjectionandconstantvolumedeviceforilliter-scalevolumtric flasks.The results show that the standard deviations for constant volume of1,2,and 5ml volumetric flasks are 0.001 9,0.002 0,and 0.0080ml ,respectively, meeting the requirements of metrological work.
