Screening of revegetation plant species for abandoned miningareas

Absrtact:【Objective】This study screens appropriate revegetation plants for abandoned mining areas so as to establish bothatechnical and practical basis for restoring abandoned granite mining area.【Method】The plant traits of 14 revegetationspecies planted in the abandoned mining area were observed.Their growth increment and survival rate in the establishmentyear,along with preservationrateandcoverage inthethirdyear,were investigated toevaluatetheiroveal growth performance.【Result】Among the four tree species selected for revegetation,Casuarina equisetifolia and Vachelia farnesiana demonstrated the best overallperformance.Theyexhibitedrapid growth,abundant lateral branching,and high ground coverage.Both species maintained a preservation rate exceeding 70% after three years.Among the seven shrub species,Neyraudiareynaudiana,Dodonaea viscosa,and Rhodomyrtus tomentosa showedfavorableperformance with high preservation rates.Of the three herbaceous species,Cynodon dactylonachieved the highest coverage rateat 79.3%, indicating itscapacitytoforastablevegetationlayer.Insummary,nativespeciessuchas Casuarinaequisetifoli,Neyudia reynaudiana,and Cynodon dactylon exhibited the most superior growth performanceacross all categories.【Conclusion】 Basedonacomprehensive evaluationof plant growth performance,Casuarina equsetifolia,Vachelia farnesiana,Neyraudia reynaudiana,Dodonaea viscosa,and Cynodon dactylonare recommended as suitable species for revegetation in abandoned granite mining area.

植物复绿以成本低、效果显著的生态修复方式,广泛应用于各类矿山的生态治理中[],但不同矿区立地条件差异较大,对植物种类也有不同的要求,常规的绿化美化植物种类难以满足特定环境下的生态修复需求。(剩余7252字)
