Abstract Objective The secondary metabolites from marine-derived Actinoalloteichus cyanogriseus LHW52806 were studied under the guidance of mass spectrometry. Their anti-inflammatory bowel disease and antimicrobial activities were evaluated.MethodsThe compounds were isolated and purified by massspectrometryguided procedural separation.Their chemical structures were identified by the determination of physicochemical parameters and comparison of spectroscopic data.A zebrafish inflammatory bowel disease model was constructed using 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonicacid (TNBS)to evaluate the anti-inflammatory bowel disease activityof the compounds.Thecompounds'antimicrobialactivities were evaluated bythe microtitre broth dilution method. Results A total of 6 pyridine alkaloids and one β -carboline alkaloidswere obtained and determined as caerulomycinonitrile (1),caerulomycin A(2),caerulomycin B(3),caerulomycin C(4),caerulomycin I(5),7-O-methyl caerulomycin R (6) and marinacarboline C(7).The results of anti-inflammatory bowel disease activity showed that compounds 5and 6 had strong anti-inflammatory boweldisease activities and were efectiveinreducing the numberof inflammatorycell aggregates migrating in the zebrafish intestine at concentrations of 20 and ,respectively.ConclusionIn thisstudy,secondarymetaboliteswithanti-inflammatory bowel diseaseactivitywereisolated from marine-derived Actinoalloteichus cyanogriseus LHW52806,demonstrating the potential of marine microorganisms in drug discovery and providing new candidate active molecules for anti-inflammatory drug development.
