Exploration of the Medication Patterns of Medical Practitioners in Southern Yunnan for Treating Plagues Based on Literature Data Mining

【Abstract】Objective：To statistically analyze the medication paterns of three representative medical practitioners，Wu Peiheng，Dai Lisan andYao Zhenba，in southern Yunnan in treating plagues bycollecting their medical case prescriptions and using data mining，Methods： By using the literature data mining method and conducting statistical analysis of medical case prescription data through the Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Analysis Platform （V2. 4.3），the medication paterns of medical practitioners in southern Yunnan in treating plagues were explored.Results ： After prescription screening，a total of 79 prescriptionsand 178 herbs for treating plagues were included.The top 5 most frequently used ones were glycyrhiza，gypsum，ophiopogon，rehmania and rhubarb.The functions mainly include clearing heat and purging fire，tonifying spleen and benefitingqi，clearing heat anddetoxifying，relieving urgency and pain，and eliminating phlegm and stopping cough.The four properties of herbs are mainly cold，neutral and warm.The fiveflavors of herbs were mainly swet，bitter and pungent.The channel tropism of herbs mostly belong to the meridians of stomach，spleen，lung and heart.The top five herb pairs in theherb asociation analysis were gypsum - rhubarb，gypsum-rehmannia，anemarrhena- gypsum，glycyrhiza -ophiopogon and glycyrhiza- gypsum.Conclusion：Through literature data mining and the cloud analysis platform of ancient and modern medical cases，the medicationpaternsandtreatment strategiesofthe medical practitioners in southern Yunnan for treating plagues have been initially summarized，providing areferenceforthe clinical treatmentofsuch diseases in traditional Chinese medicine.
