【Abstract】Heartfailure is known as the last batlefield in the field ofcardiovascular diseasesand is the outcome of the development of cardiovascular diseases.How to reduce its mortalityrateand rehospitalizationrate has always beena diffcult point intreatment.Withthe declineof cardiac pumpfunction，the bodyof patients withheartfailure is prone to show weakness，leading to various clinical complications，which seriously affectthequalityof life and clinical outcomes of patients，especially elderly patients.Even though the heart failurecombined with frailty is widespread in clinical practice，ithas notreceivedmoreatention，and therearenounified standards foritsdefinition，diagnostic methods，etc.The standardized“newquadruple”medication is becoming increasinglycommon，butthe complex physical factors of elderlypatients limit theuse of drugs.Traditional Chinese medicine ataches great importance to treating the rootcause of diseases，preventing diseases before they occur，and holistic treatment，with uniqueadvantages in treating heart failure complicated with frailtyand aroleof“overallplanningand consideration”.Therefore，this paper reviews the research progress ofheart failure combined with frailty in traditional Chinese andWestern medicine in recent years，with theaimof increasing theatentionof scientificresearchersand clinicians to heartfailurecombined with frailty and improving the treatment level of heart failure combined with frailty.
