Analysis of urinary stone composition in 13O9 patients in Baise region
LI Zhenjie, WEI Liuxing, LIANG Zhengfang, LU Baode, WEI Gaomeng (Departmentof Urology,AfliatedHospitalofYoujiang Medical UniversityforNtionalities,Baise5330oo,Guangxi,Chinc 【Abstract】ObjectiveToanalyze thedistribution characteristics of stone components in patients withurinary stone in Baise,Guangxi,soas toprovideabasis for clinical preventionand treatment andreducerecurrnce rate.MethodsA retrospective collection of data from 13O9 patients with urinary stone treated in a class Il gradeA hospital in Baise City from January2020to December 2O2 was conducted.Stone samples wereobtainedthrough percutaneous nephrolithotomyandother surgical procedures,and their components wereanalyzed byinfrared spectroscopyDiferences in stonecompositionamong different genders,age groups,and stone locations were compared.ResultsThe proportion of males was significantly higher than that of females(male-to-female ratio was 1.98:1 ),and the incidence ofupper urinary tract stones (88.46%, 1158/1309)was significantly higher than that of lower urinary tract stones ( P<0.05 ). The peak age group for stone occurrence was 40-< 60 years old ( 58.21% ,762/13o9). The main component of the stones was calcium oxalate( 67.69% , 886/1309),followed by anhydrous uric acid( 17.19% ,225/1309)and calcium phosphate( 12.76% ,167/1309).The proportion of uric acid stones in males was higher than that in females ( P<0.05 ).Conclusion Calcium oxalate is the main form of urinary stones in Baise region,with male and middle-aged elderlypopulations beingthe high-risk group,andupper urinarytractbeing the mostcommon siteofoccurrence.There is asignificantcorelation betweenstone compositionand gender,age,andlocation.Developing individualized preventionandtreatment strategiesbasedoncomponentanalysisisof great significance in reducing the recurrence rate of stones.
