Application of evidence-based multidimensional management strategy in patients with atlantoaxial malformation undergoing nasogastric feeding
Abstract Objective:To explore the application effect of evidence-based multidimensional management strategies in patients with atlantoaxial malformation undergoing nasogastric feeding. Methods:Sixty eligible patients with atlantoaxial malformation who were admitted to our neurosurgery intensive care unit from July 2023 to February 2024 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 cases in each group, using a random number table method. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received evidence-based multidimensional management strategies based on the control group.During the period when the gastric tube was indwelling in the patient ,the nursing effects of the two groups were compared. Results:There were statistically significant differences(P<0.05) in the success rate of one⁃time catheterization, adverse reactions, gastric tube retention time, and patient satisfaction between the two groups of patients after a single catheterization. Conclusion:Implementing evidence-based multidimensional management strategies for patients with atlantoaxial malformation undergoing nasogastric feeding can effectively improve the success rate of one⁃time catheterization, reduce adverse reactions, shorten the duration of gastric tube placement, improve patient satisfaction, and accelerate the patient's recovery process.
