Abstract Objective： To translate the Clinical Practicum Transition Shock Scale （CPT⁃Shock） for nursing students into Chinese and test its reliability and validity.Methods：According to the modified Brisilin model， CPT⁃Shock was translated， back⁃translated， culturally adjusted， and pre⁃tested to form the Chinese version of CPT⁃Shock. The convenience sampling method was used to select 456 clinical practice nursing students from three tertiary grade A hospitals in Tangshan city， Hebei province as the research subjects， and reliability and validity were tested.Results：The Chinese version of CPT⁃Shock had 19 items. A total of 6 common factors were extracted in exploratory factor analysis with a cumulative variance contribution rate of 71.827%. Confirmatory factor analysis showed good fit ［root mean square error of approximation （RMSEA）=0.050， normed fit index （NFI）=0.855， incremental fit index （IFI）=0.942， Tucker⁃Lewis index （TLI）=0.916， comparative fit index （CFI）=0.939］； the content validity of the scale was 0.947， the content validity of each item was from 0.833 to 1.000， and the Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.864.Conclusions：The Chinese version of CPT⁃Shock has good reliability and validity， which could be used to evaluate the level of clinical practice transition shock of nursing students in China.
