The predictive value of AIS-APS scale for stroke-associated pneumonia in patients with ischemic stroke：a Meta-analysis

Abstract Objective：To evaluate the predictive value of AIS-APS scale for stroke-associated pneumonia（SAP） in patients with ischemic stroke systematically.Methods：The relevant literature using AIS-APS scale to predict SAP risk of ischemic stroke was retrieved from CNKI，WanFang Database，VIP，CBM，PubMed，Web of Science，EMbase，the Cochrane Library and Wiley.The retrieval time was from the inception to May 31，2023.QUADAS-2 was used for literature quality evaluation，and Stata 17.0 software was used for Meta-analysis.Results：14 articles were included in the Meta-analysis，with a total of 7 117 patients.Meta-analysis results showed that AIS-APS predicted SAP co-sensitivity of ischemic stroke was 0.82（95%CI 0.74-0.88），co-specificity was 0.73（95%CI 0.66-0.80），and co-positive likelihood ratio was 3.08（95%CI 2.53-3.76）.The combined negative likelihood ratio was 0.25（95%CI 0.18-0.34），and the combined diagnosis ratio DOR was 2.52（95%CI 2.20-2.84），combined odds ratio was 12.40（95%CI 9.01-17.06）.AIS-APS predicted SAP in ischemic stroke with an area under the curve（AUC） of SQOC was 0.84（95%CI 0.81-0.87）.Deek′s funnel plot analysis showed no publication bias in the included literature（P=0.73），and Van Root plot showed that the score was clinically applicable.Conclusion：Current evidence Shows that AIS-APS scale has a certain predictive value for the risk of SAP in patients with ischemic stroke，which can be used for preliminary screening of clinical patients and identification of high-risk patients with SAP for further prevention and treatment.
