Abstract Objective：To analyze and evaluate the nursing experience and needs of caregivers of patients with consciousness disorder.Methods：Qualitative studies on the care-taking experience and needs of caregivers with consciousness disorders were retrieved from the Cochrane Library，EMbase，PubMed，Web of Science，CNKI，WanFang Database，VIP，and CBM.The search period was from the establishment of the database to February 2022.The Meta-integration method was adopted for integration and analysis.Results：A total of 9 articles were included，and 31 research results were extracted，which were summarized into 9 new categories and integrated into 3 results：multi-faceted challenges of caregivers in the process of care，supportive needs of caregivers in the process of care，and positive changes of caregivers in the process of care.Conclusion：Medical staff should pay attention to the psychological condition and care needs of the caregivers of patients with consciousness disorder，and provide psychological counseling，education and training to improve their care ability.The government and medical institutions should provide supportive help to the patients′ families to ensure the quality of life of the patients and their caregivers.
