Abstract: To address the limitations of most current adsorbents that exhibit high selectivity,a novel universal adsorbent—conjugated microporous polyanilines (CMPAs)—is synthesized via Buchwald-Hartwig coupling reactions. First, the adsorption performance of this series of adsorbents is investigated for anionic dye acid red G (ARG) and cationic dye Methylene Blue (MB).Subsequently, the effects of pH ,adsorption time, initial concentration, and temperature on adsorption performance are systematically examined, and the adsorption mechanism is elucidated through pre-and post-adsorption characterization. Finally, the adsorption eficiency of CMPAs on mixed dyes is evaluated. Results demonstrate that the CMPAs exhibit excellent adsorption performance for both ARG and MB,with adsorption capacity varying with solution pH . The adsorption behavior follows pseudo-second-order kinetics and the Freundlich model. Comparative analysis reveals that the imine nitrogen content of the adsorbent is the key determinant of adsorption capacity, while the specific surface area and pore size distribution create a synergistic effect by influencing the accessibility of active sites and molecular mass transfer efficiency. At318K , the maximum adsorption capacities reach 1416mg⋅g-1 for ARG and 235 mg⋅g-1 for MB,primarily relying on electrostatic interactions, hydrogen bonding, and π-π (204号 interactions for the simultaneous adsorption of dyes. Notably, the adsorbent demonstrates universal applicability in simultaneously removing both anionic and cationic dyes from mixed dye systems. After 1O adsorption-desorption cycles, the adsorption efficiency remains above 99% , indicating exceptional stability and reusability.
