Abstract：The body of an electric locomotive is the load-bearing bodyof theentire electric locomotive，and stable weldingquality is crucial for ensuring driving safety.Select the typical model of HXD1 electric locomotive body assembly object，and introduces the structural characteristics of electric locomotive body assembly，layout of automatic welding stations， selection of automatic welding equipment， automatic welding process parameter debugging，sample verification，and physical application. Through batch production verification，the automatic welding station was connected to the upper and lower processes，achieving the requirements of automatic loading andunloadingandautomatic weldingof theelectric locomotive body assembly.Finally，the electriclocomotive body assembly achieved the engineering application of automated welding for the first time in the industry.
