Abstract:Addressing the challenge of accurately and quantitatively evaluating and suppressing the output common-mode voltage in H-bridge five-level active neutral-point-clamped(ANPC -5L) inverters under dead-time effects,a common-mode voltage suppression method based on energy function was proposed. Firstly,the common-mode voltage analytic expression of ANPC -5L three-phase H-bridge inverter was derived based on the double Fourier analysis method. Secondly,an evaluation function was proposed to characterize the common-mode voltage energy under different carrier phase-shift angles,and the corresponding energy function curve was obtained.The results indicate that selecting the optimal carrier phaseshift angle,which corresponds to the minimum point on the energy function curve,achieves optimal suppression of the common-mode voltage.Finally,the simulation and experimental verification of the common-mode voltage suppression strategy based on energy function were carried out. The results show that the proposed method can quantitatively evaluate the common-mode voltage with dead zone,and solve the optimal carier-phase shift angle of dead-zone ANPC -5L three-phase H-bridge inverter. The proposed method offers a solution for accurate evaluation and optimal suppression of common-mode voltage in ANPC -5L multiphase H-bridge topologies under dead-time conditions.
