Research on model predictive current control of three-phase hybrid converter based on variable index sliding mode

Abstract:In order to reduce the input current distortion rate of a three-phase hybrid converter and improve the robustness of the system to load variations,a model-predictive current control method based on variable-exponential convergence law sliding mode control was proposed. First,a filter inductor was connected in series at the front end of the passive converter to suppressthe periodic distortion in the total input current. Second,based on the system mathematical model,a variable exponential convergence law sliding mode controller was designed for the outer voltage loop,which significantly improves the robustness of the system against load disturbances.In the inner-loop control,a fast optimal three-vector model prediction controller was designed for the active converter,which can determine the optimal vector combinations with only two optimization searches and significantly reduces the computational complexity;and an input voltage observation method based on the third-order extended state observer is designed for the passive converter, which reduces the number of sensors used and effctively improves the quality of the input current at the same time. Finally,the prediction target of the active converter was set as the total input current,which realizes the high-quality control of the total input current of the three-phase hybrid converter.
