Comparative Experiment of Early Spring Potato Varieties in Hunan Province

Abstract：Thisstudyistoslecttepotatovarietiescharacterzedbyearlymaturinghghqualityandighyieldsforearlypring cultivationinHunan.Atotalof7earlymaturingpotatovarietiessuchasEmalingsu3Huasu，andDongnong3'wretested inLilingCityHunanProvince.TheresutsshowedthatfivevarietiesincludingJzhangshu8'andEmalingsh14'hadteplnthight exceeding 5 6 c m .'Zhongshu5'hadthe highesttuber weight perplant.Jizhangshu12'，'Zhongshu5'，and'Xingjia2'hadhigher single tuber weight.Eightvarieties including'Xingjia2'，Jizhangshu12'，andJizhangshu20'had highercommoditypotatoate （ > 9 0 % ）.The yieldsof 'Jizhangshu 12'，'Xingjia2'，'Kexin1'，and'Jizhangshu were higher， increasing by over 30 % compared with that of the control.'Jizhangshu and 'Huashu 1'had higher comprehensive sensory score （ ⩾ 1 5 ）.Insummary，'Xingjia with a high yield， a highcommodity potatorate，andhigh comparable benefits is suitable for earlyspring cultivation in Hunan.Jizhagshu with a highyield，aigcommoditypotatoate，ndigcomprehensivesesorysoreistabletobedevelopdasigqalityfresh ediblepotatovarietyDespitethegoodperformance inmultipleindexes，Jzhangshu12'iseasytoproducesolaninebecausef its tuberizationintheshallowsoilayer，whichhasediblesafetyisks.Therefore，hilingorblackflmmulchingshouldbeadoptedduring the cultivation of this variety.
